BIO
David Swope is an Art Director/Creative Director of strategic, media-agnostic advertising. His portfolio includes film, interactive, print, outdoor, guerilla, direct, promotions and logo design. And he has fun doing it.
David has worked with a range of clients from California Cheese to HP, from FOX Sports to Star Wars. He’s had plenty of clients whose names ended in “.com”. He’s had to sell “infrastructure management solutions.” Three times. Despite this, his work has been recognized by Clio, Cannes, Graphis, Communciation Arts, Obie, Emmy, Telly, Addy, San Francisco Show, Archive, Creativity and Print.
David has spent the past three years at McCann Erickson, and he’s done time at just about every agency in San Francisco not named Goodby.
Fun Facts: David once glued 600 pounds of Jelly Bellies for a billboard campaign—and got his first cavity. He got a job interview from a urinal poster. He’s worked on HP at three different agencies. He’s written jingles. In 2006 David created a website geared toward global warming awareness: CoolTheWorld.org. He was a contestant on “Win, Lose or Draw”—and won. Due to Spray Mount, he can’t recall most of the 90s.

ETCETERA
David received a BA in Graphic Design from UCLA. His hobbies include slow food, travel, snowboarding, piano and golf. He once hit a hole in one—while playing by himself. Honestly. He is a big fan of long-form improv and has seen one troupe, 3 For All, over 70 times.
